Join us for another ‘Ohana Māla Saturday! This month we will learn all about what it means to be a native plant in Hawai‘i and how different plants arrived on our islands without the help of humans. Activities this month will include collecting seeds and/or taking cuttings and propagating a native plant to take home. We will also start the morning with a visit up to Kūka‘ō‘ō Heiau. Spend time together outside while learning about Mānoa. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks for energy and water for hydration. Families may also bring brown bag lunch to enjoy a picnic on site after the session.

MHC has all the required tools, including gloves. Please come dressed ready to get your hands in the dirt!

All adult participants must show proof of vaccination or a dated negative COVID test. All participants must wear a mask for the duration of the session.
