ʻOhana Mala - Letʻs Propagate ʻIlima! 

9:00 am - 12:00 pm 

Join us in the garden for an engaging session on native plants and strategies for propagating and caring for them.  

We will start in the garden, learning about native plants and seed dispersal. Then we will do some light weeding in the area where we will be gathering plants for propagation.

We will:

• Collect ‘ilima seeds 
• Propagate cuttings of ‘ilima
• Transplant seedlings from a tray to their "own" pots
• Sow gathered seeds 
• Explore MHC propagation nursery with Q & A

Please come ready to get your hands in the soil with covered shoes. 

Families may bring brown bag lunch to enjoy on-site after the session.

Families are encouraged to participate together; adults must accompany keiki under 12 years of age.
