Spend your Valentine’s day sharing your love with the native plants and flowers in the historic gardens of Mānoa Heritage Center. Join artist Kate Righter in exploring how combining drawing, writing, and culture can deepen your connection to nature and help you embrace the present moment.
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to begin or improve their nature journaling practice in a supportive, creative environment.
Please note that exploring the gardens of Mānoa Heritage Center requires walking on uneven ground, including stone pathways, stairs, and grassy hillsides. Participants are also welcome to remain on the accessible, covered walkways with access to native plants and beautiful views. Workshops are held rain or shine.
Each participant should bring their own:
-Journal, notebook, or sketchbook
-Pencil or pen
-Colored pencils (optional)
-Mat or towel to sit on (MHC also has campstools participants may use)
-Hat and sunscreen
-Water in a reusable bottle
Limited to 15 participants. Open to participants ages 12 and up.
