Kūka‘a Lauhala Workshop

Join Kumu Loko’olu Quintero to learn how to prepare lauhala for weaving. Participants will learn how to collect and select lauhala, clean, flatten and make a kūka‘a (roll) for future use. Participants will also learn to make a ‘ohe ho‘opālahalaha lauhala (bamboo tool used to roll and flatten lauhala) in order to continue to collect and use this important natural resource.
Limited to 10 participants.
