Kahaukani Conversations: Celebrating Kahuli for Monte Cooke's Birthday

Join us on Wednesday, December 14 at 12 noon for the first of two special lunchtime Kahaukani Conversations in celebration of Dr. Monte Cooke's birthday. Dr. Monte Cooke was born on December 20, 1874.
Presenters:
Dr. Kenneth A. Hayes (Bishop Museum Malacology Curator, Director of Pacific Center for Molecular Biodiversity) will share about Hawai'i's Lymnaeidae: Understudied, underestimated, and endangered
Dr. Norine Yeung (Bishop Museum Malacology Research) will share an overview of Hawaiian land snail conservation and what is being done to continue Dr. Cooke's legacy in Pacific Island land snail research and conservation.
The second presentation celebrating kāhuli will take place in January 2023.
