Please join us on Thursday, January 26 at 5:00 pm for the second Kahaukani Conversations presentation in celebration of Dr. Monte Cooke's birthday. Dr. Monte Cooke was born on December 20, 1874. 

Presenters:

David Sischo is a Wildlife Biologist with the Division of Forestry and Wildlife, specializing in the conservation of rare and endangered terrestrial mollusks.  His presentation is titled: Hui Kāhuli, Rushing to Save Hawai‘i's Iconic Land Snails. 

Jan Kealoha is the Bishop Museum Captive Rearing Coordinator and has been overseeing the captive rearing program and training students and volunteers to save Hawai‘i's remaining snails. Her presentation is titled: Expanding the Hawaiian Land Snail Conservation Lifeboats.
